EYES WILD SHOTS

Field journal

Behind every shot there is a wait, a place, an encounter. Here I tell the story of each outing: how it went, what I saw, what I learned.

The book

A photographic memoir about my way of looking at nature. Each chapter is born from an encounter in the field and tells its story in the first person, with the images that came out of it.

About me

My name is Bruno Corpino and I live in Sardinia. I work in strategy and business consulting, and I am an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry.

Nature photography is where I learn patience. I shoot with Sony equipment and look for images that respect the animal before the picture: no call playback, no disturbance, only waiting and the right light.

In photography, I am not drawn to pure technique: every shot must take me back exactly to the feeling I had in that precise instant. No frills, no deliberation, only instinct.

I am the author of two books. The next one will tell the story of these very encounters.

In the field

Just a few tools, chosen so I can stay far away and not disturb.

Sony Alpha 9 II
Fast and silent, the right autofocus for birds.
Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS
My lens of choice. The right distance to be there without intruding on its life.
Sony FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS
For closer encounters and for telling the story of the surroundings.
